Cincinnati OH-Cincinnati Book Publishing announces the October 2015 release of The American Dream, a long-awaited analysis of the current state of the American Dream by the late Michael F. Ford. The book was published in cooperation with the Center for the Study of the American Dream at Xavier University. Ford reveals the many myths about the Dream, and identifies the present threats to its continuance. After a long and distinguished career as a senior political strategist, Ford returned to his alma mater, Xavier University, in Cincinnati, and founded the Center for the Study of the American Dream IN 2008. At the time of his death in late 2013, Mr. Ford had just finished writing this book. The book includes a Foreword by Roger A. Fortin, Professor of History and Distinguished Service Professor, Xavier University and an Afterword by Zane L. Miller, a Charles Phelps Taft Professor Emeritus of History, University of Cincinnati. J. Patrick Ford, the author's brother, contributed the Prologue. Ford was an advisor for high-level political campaigns, including nine presidential campaigns, and he managed more than 100 gubernatorial, U.S. Senate, Congressional, and mayoral campaigns across the United States. Among the many tributes to his life and work published here is an especially relevant one from the national political consultant and journalist Joe Trippi, who wrote, "No one I know thought more about the American Dream, and worked harder to defend and save it, than Mike Ford. His book is his torch passed on to each of us to keep our unique American Dream alive."
The American Dream is an inspiring and provocative read. Available at Amazon.com, Cincybooks.com, and in select bookstores.
