Land Soon Come

LandSoonCome Front Cover Art WebIn this beautifully illustrated book, titled In the Land of "Soon Come," Barbara Coyle, former director of Roger Bacon community service outreach program, relates the inspiring story of her decade-long experiences in leading youth missionaries to Negril, Jamaica, where the Greater Cincinnati contingent did volunteer work at Father Jim Bok's parish school. Proceeds from book sales ($15 plus tax) benefit the Franciscan Friars mission work in Jamaica.

 

About the author: Barbara Hesse Coyle grew up in Reading, Ohio, where she attended Mount Notre Dame High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Louisville. Her love for children and her passion for education led her to teach pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, and high school students. Barbara married John Coyle and stayed home to raise their three children. Later, she received a Certificate in Religious Studies from the College of Mount St. Joseph and returned to the classroom. She taught religion at Roger Bacon High School for fifteen years and was director of the school’s community outreach service program. Now retired, Barbara and her husband live in West Chester, Ohio. She is available for book talks and autograph sessions.  
 

About the artist: Taylor Kling is a sixteen-year-old student at William Mason High School in Mason, Ohio. A self-taught artist, she is the proud recipient of numerous awards, including regional and national Scholastic art keys.
